Did you know that every lorry load of washing detergent sachets contains 650kg of plastic packaging waste? Not launched (yet), here’s a cool waste-free innovation from designer Aaron Mickelson for P&G’s leading US brand detergent, Tide.
The backs of the detergent capsules are stitched together into a sheet of laundry pods, to create a tube with soap-soluble ink. Consumers can tear off each POD and use it one-by-one.
Aaron Mickelson’s site The Disappearing Package contains a number of other cool FMCG (non)-packaging innovations.
