26th November 2013 | 3 minute read
Replace Peter Jones and Duncan Bannatyne from Dragons’ Den (Shark Tank in US) with Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs and what do you get?
Answer: LVMH’s new talent scout initiative for fashion design, with industry heavyweights as the Dragon-style jury. Announced by LVMH #2 Delphine Arnault, and dubbed “LVMH Prize”, winners will get €300,000 (250,000) investment plus a year of professional coaching/advice. The LVMH Prize is open to any designer between the ages of 18 and 40, and applications are open now at lvmhprize.com, with the first investment made in May 2014.
We believe the Dragons’ Den/Shark Tank concept is ripe to be rolled out cross-category in innovation. How could you run a Dragon’s Den to turbo charge your innovation?
